New Year, new approach: Join us THIS SATURDAY for a vision board workshop that includes hard days ✨

Happy New Year—especially if “fresh start energy” feels far away in your body right now.

Hi Reader,

A lot of people living with chronic symptoms enter January the same way they entered December: reacting.

Reacting to the body.
Reacting to the calendar.
Reacting to whatever the day allows.

And then weeks pass, and you realize you’ve been managing life… but not really directing it.

That’s why I’m inviting you into something more proactive (and still gentle):

Mapping Your Well World
— a guided vision ritual where you create a visual compass for the next chapter (i.e. the next three months), including a built-in plan for your low-capacity days.

📅 Sat, Jan 10, 2026
🕙 10am PT / 1pm ET / 7pm CET
📍 Live on Zoom

This is dreaming—made compassionate (and actually doable).

We’re not shrinking your vision to fit chronic life.
We’re expanding your vision with it.

Most vision board workshops quietly assume a high-capacity body and a symptom-free future. This ritual is built on a radical idea:

Your most powerful vision includes all of your days.

So you get to dream big and design the support that makes the dream livable.

What you’ll create (and why it matters)

You’ll leave with one cohesive board that works like a compass:

1) Your Well World
A visual North Star for what inspires and replenishes you—what you want to savor, grow, and feel more of (ease, meaning, connection, gentle joy, creative peace).

2) Your Basecamp (your support plan for hard days)
A dedicated space on your board for what helps you feel held and supported when symptoms flare or capacity drops: rest cues, comfort, boundaries, tiny glimmers, and simple resourcing options you can reach for without overthinking.

Together, this becomes a tool you can return to when your brain slips into “What’s wrong?” mode:

  • to re-center
  • to re-orient
  • to remember what matters
  • and to take one small next step without negotiating with your nervous system for an hour
  • A signature Future Self Visualization (grounding and inspiring)
  • Quiet creation time with gentle prompts + soothing music
  • Optional shared inspiration (light, low-pressure)
  • One Tiny, Kind Step so your vision turns into motion

Cameras optional. Rest encouraged.
Create digitally (Canva template provided) or with poster board/ paper/magazine cutouts.

If you’ve been waiting for a moment that feels like:
“Okay. This is my direction.”
This is it.

Yes, I want the Newsletter

mindbodyJOY is a space for people whose nervous systems have been stuck in survival mode for too long. Created by Simone Holderbach, Neuroplasticity & Nervous System Coach and educator, mindbodyJOY combines courses like GLIMMER with the mindbodyJOY community, a daily practice space for building safety, resilience, positive affect, connection, creativity, awe, meaning, and small moments of aliveness. mindbodyJOY is a chronic joy community where we practice micro-doses of positive emotion and connection that are small on purpose, so the nervous system can say yes.

Done right, connection is a form of nervous system safety.

Hi Reader,Wanting connection and having the capacity to socialize are not always the same thing. You may miss people, but not have the energy to make plans. You may want to feel included, but not have the bandwidth for small talk. You may long for warmth, ease, or being seen, while also needing a way to connect that does not require you to perform being okay. Sometimes the lonely part of you wants people, while the exhausted part of you wants quiet. That is not a contradiction. It is often...

Hi Reader,Maybe you can relate. When life has been shaped by chronic symptoms, pain, anxiety, burnout, or stress for a long time, creativity can start to feel like something that belongs to another version of you: the version who had more energy, more spaciousness, more curiosity, and more access to play. And when someone says, “You should try doing something creative,” it can sound almost insulting if your brain is busy scanning symptoms, solving problems, managing appointments, and trying...

Hi Reader,Does your brain spend a lot of time scanning for what's wrong? Checking symptoms. Bracing for the next thing to go wrong. Predicting how hard tomorrow might be. Noticing every niggle and twinge, every small shift in sensation, and wondering what it might mean. If anxiety is a familiar part of your life, you might recognize this as your brain's default setting. From an evolutionary standpoint, this makes complete sense. When you've lived with chronic symptoms, chronic stress, or a...
